About this policy
This policy explains how information is handled when you visit plirisforensics.com, contact PLIRIS Forensics, submit a case or claim for review, or submit your professional background for consideration in our expert network. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the PLIRIS business operating PLIRIS Forensics.
Our services concern construction, building, and manufacturing forensics. This website policy does not replace the confidentiality or information-handling terms of a particular service agreement. PLIRIS Co and PLIRIS Plans have separate website privacy policies and cookie choices.
Information collected
Contact inquiries. Information may include your name, email address, phone number, industry, company, subject, and message.
Case and claim submissions. The project form collects your contact information, client name, client reference or claim number, project name or reference, project address, city, state, county, project description, and files you choose to upload. Files may contain photographs, plans, reports, or other case-related information, including information about people other than the person submitting the form.
Expert submissions. The expert form requests your name, email address, knowledge and career details or biography, education, certifications, and CV or professional resume. Such information is used for professional-network consideration and related communications; submitting it is not permission to publish your entire CV or personal contact details.
Technical information. Hosting, security, and website providers may process your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, access times, and diagnostic information. Optional website analytics may process interaction data as described below.
Guidance for sensitive submissions
Cases, claims, and uploaded reports can include confidential business information or personal information about clients, property owners, witnesses, or other people. Provide only what is relevant to the initial review and what you are authorized to share.
Do not include passwords, full payment-card details, government identification numbers, unrelated medical information, or unnecessary sensitive information in general contact fields, project descriptions, or CV uploads. If material is legally restricted, privileged, subject to a protective order, or especially sensitive, contact us before sending it so an appropriate transfer arrangement can be discussed.
The website form is an intake channel. This policy does not represent that all submissions are legally privileged or that a general website upload is suitable for every type of confidential evidence. Applicable engagement terms and legal obligations govern the handling of an accepted assignment.
Purposes of use
Information is used to respond to inquiries, review service requests, communicate about cases or claims, coordinate relevant expertise, evaluate professional-network submissions, maintain related records, operate and protect the website, and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations.
Optional analytics helps us improve service information, navigation, and website usability. It is not consent to unrelated marketing and is not intended to evaluate an individual expert’s professional suitability. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages without withdrawing a case inquiry or expert submission.
Providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by providers supporting website hosting, security, communications, forms, file handling, customer relationship management, and analytics. The website uses HubSpot forms; HubSpot’s Privacy Policy describes its provider practices.
For a case or service request, information may be disclosed to PLIRIS personnel and relevant professionals involved in reviewing or carrying out the requested work. Depending on the engagement and your instructions, this may include clients, their authorized representatives, or experts supporting the assignment. Such disclosures are separate from optional website analytics.
Expert information may be reviewed by personnel coordinating the professional network or matching relevant expertise to a request. Any proposed public expert profile should be handled separately from the private intake submission.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to respond to fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. Microsoft receives Clarity data when analytics is enabled, as described below.
Cookies and privacy choices
Necessary cookies support essential website functions and remember your privacy choices. Optional analytics is enabled only through your analytics choice. Advertising consent remains denied under the website’s analytics-only configuration; accepting analytics does not grant advertising consent.
Use Accept analytics, Reject optional cookies, or Customize, and reopen Cookie Settings whenever you want to change your choice. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from contacting us or submitting a case or expert form. Information you intentionally submit is still processed to handle that request.
Deleting browser cookies may remove a stored preference. Other PLIRIS websites and external services have separate privacy choices; acceptance on this site is not blanket consent elsewhere.
Website analytics and Microsoft Clarity
With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with this website and to improve its usability and performance. Clarity collects website usage and interaction information, including pages visited, clicks, scrolling, and technical information about your browser and device. This information helps generate heatmaps and session replays that reconstruct interactions with our webpages.
Clarity uses cookies and other tracking technologies, and collected information is transmitted to Microsoft for processing. We do not load Clarity or begin its data collection until you accept analytics.
We use Clarity for website analytics, not advertising. Clarity’s advertising consent remains denied, including when you accept analytics.
You can decline analytics or change your choice through Cookie Settings. Withdrawing analytics consent stops further Clarity collection on this website; it does not automatically erase information previously collected.
For information about Microsoft’s processing of personal data, read the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Retention and security
Retention depends on the purpose of the inquiry, case, or expert submission; whether a relationship or assignment remains active; applicable agreements; professional or legal recordkeeping obligations; and any dispute or legal hold. Case materials and professional records may need to be retained even when website analytics consent is withdrawn. No single retention period applies to every record.
No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Limit initial submissions to necessary information and contact us promptly about an incorrect submission or a suspected information-handling issue.
Your choices and requests
Contact us about access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided. Depending on your location and applicable law, other rights may include obtaining a copy, objecting to or restricting certain processing, withdrawing consent, and appealing a decision about a privacy request. Rights and exceptions vary, particularly where records relate to another party, an active assignment, or legal obligations.
We may need to verify your identity and authority to act for a client or other person. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel. Withdrawing analytics consent does not withdraw a case or expert submission, cancel an engagement, or automatically delete its records.
Children, external services, and changes
This professional-services website is intended for adults, not children. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information.
External sites and services have their own privacy practices. Providers may process information in countries other than your own; their privacy notices describe those processing practices.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or information-handling practices. The published version will show its effective or last-updated date. An update does not itself grant consent to optional tracking.
